Our Path
Steve Ledesma started his journey in a millwork/cabinet shop specializing in custom fabrication and installation, at the age of 15. After acquiring knowledge in both aspects of fine woodwork, he then at the age of 22 , decided to take his talents and experience into the world of aircraft interiors. Custom building of cabinetry for Gulfstream and Boeing Business Jets presented it’s own rewarding challenges in the building world. After the unfortunate events of 9/11, the aircraft facility shut it’s doors and Steve decided to go and work for a highly regarded general contractor based out of Santa Barbara. For 15 years Steve was able to learn from the finest in the industry. Working with such a high caliber company allowed Steve to truly grasp ‘quality’ from the best carpenters
and sub-contractors around. Steve began managing large projects at the age of 28. After Steve’s 15 year run in Santa Barbara was complete, he decided to head south to assist another prominent builder in Los Angeles, where he supervised a 2 year, multi million dollar takeover project to its completion. Having mastered the skillset from conception to completion of ground up builds and custom residential renovations on some of the most prestigious projects in the industry, Steve took this knowledge and created his own new path. SL Build was formed. The journey through his career has left Steve blessed and thankful for the opportunities he has been presented. He looks forward to working with each new client and is grateful for each and every one.
